Bungie is currently working on what they have started to call the Destiny April Update and as of today, they have also announced the release date of the patch.
The developers have confirmed that the April Update, previously referred to as the Update 2.2.0, will be launched on April 12, 2016. This brings us to the second most important question, what exactly does the update bring?
Bungie has started talking about it only just now so it is just their teases that we have to build our details on. DeeJ says that “it will have something for every type of Guardian.” He has also shared some of the highlights without naming the exact things we are going to get.
Destiny April Update Highlights
- New PVE Challenges
- New and Updated Gear
- New Quest featuring the Blighted Chalice Strike
- Increased Max Light and Rewards
- Sandbox and Crucible Updates
Moving on, the developers have also promised to share the exact details on the update through previews in the coming weeks. To be specific, they will talk about the “New Things to Do” on Wednesday, March 23 at 11AM Pacific Time, “New Things to Earn” on Wednesday, March 30 at 11AM Pacific Time and “Sandbox and Crucible Updates” on Wednesday, April 6 at 11AM Pacific Time.
All these preview sessions are going to be held on the official Twitch channel of Bungie where designers and artists working on the Destiny April Update are going to be discussing all the details themselves.
Destiny: The Taken King owners already have the update added to their purchase.
We are expecting the update to bring in new Taken armor, whhat do you think?
