It looks like the record breaking success of The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt has actually changed everything for CD Projekt Red. So much so that they are totally ramping up their goals for Cyberpunk 2077.
The game, among a number of other things related to the studio like possibly a VR game, were discussed in the latest earnings call of the development studio and we have been able to pick out some news on the rarely discussed but highly anticipated futuristic RPG.
Adam Badowski, the head of CD Projekt Red says that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be nothing like the game they originally planned because it is going to be “even better, even bigger, even more revolutionary” than what they had originally set out for.
If you compare it with The Witcher 3, CDPR has already said that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be much bigger. This was reiterated by Badowski who said that the game’s magnitude was far greater.
Since The Witcher 3’s success has pushed the fans to have very high expectations from them, the developers want Cyberpunk 2077 to be a “truly outstanding game” but that, Badowski says they still have a lot of work to do.
As far as the game’s premiere is concerned, we have two conflicting views. Since the story was originally reported by DualShockers, they transcribed the conference and reported that the game’s premiere was “long ways away” however, some Polish locals claim that CD Projekt Red might have said the opposite.
Apparently some people are saying that the developers said that the game’s reveal might not be too far now.
