Well, those looking forward to hear anything related to the next Dead Island game are about to face disappointment. Dead Island is back from the dead but not in the way we wanted. There is a Dead Island game coming to PS4 and Xbox One, but it is a remaster.
Fans of the series will get a chance to experience previous Dead Island games on new-gen consoles for $39.99. The news came from a listing on Best Buy, which revealed something called Dead Island Definitive Collection.
Dead Island Definitive Collection will release on May 31.
Both Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide are a part of the collection. We will have complete online features, improved visuals, and a free treat in the form of Dead Island: Retro Revenge. Also, additional content from previous games is added for free as well.
Definitive Collection contains Dead Island Definitive Edition, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition and a brand new stand-alone 16-bit game Dead Island Retro Revenge
Dead Island Definitive Edition and Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition are fully remastered versions of Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide including all released DLC and patches
Dead Island Retro Revenge: A brand new stand-alone 16-bit game set in the style of a classic side-scrolling action/endless runner within the Dead Island universe
Dead Island is back….sort of.
