Horror game fans should take a look at some new Scorn concept art. Fans of Alien and the darker side of games will know why this new game looks interesting.
In the new concept art which you can see below, there is a definite Giger-esque style to them, and there are plenty of other pieces apart from that. Bad news is that we’ll have to wait until Q1 2017 for this game, and it is one that does have a history. So we’ll have to wait and see what comes of the game.
“Scorn is an atmospheric first person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry. It is designed around an idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself. Every location contains its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive lived in world. Throughout the game you will open up new areas, acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to you.”
The game is running on the Unreal 4 engine, and the developers are giving plenty of updates on the progress to the game. This includes a look at some of the weapons:

From the looks of it this is one to keep our eyes on, especially with the darker style. 2017 may feel a long way off, but with games like this already appearing it looks set to be interesting.
