Xbox Live is down again after also having issues last week. It looks like February is not a good month for the Microsoft online service.
If you look on the support page right now the following message is shown for the services that are being affected:
- Buying downloadable items
- Downloading items that you have already purchased
- Paying for downloadable items with stored currency, adding additional stored currency, or viewing your balance
With the latest update Microsoft are offering to let you know when the service will be fully working again:
“Are you having a tough time launching previously purchased content or purchasing new content, Xbox members? We’re aware of the issue and our team is working hard to fix things as quickly as possible. Thanks for your patience! We’ll update you as soon as we have more information.
Want to get notified when this feature is back online?
We will only use the phone number that you provide to notify you when the service or app is back up and running. After we send the notification you requested, we will delete your phone number from our Xbox Live SMS notification system.”
This service will provide you with an SMS message when the service is back online. No doubt while this is useful, users would rather Xbox Live to be online and not having issues.
It will be interesting to see if Microsoft provide details of why Xbox Live is having issues this month and if they will be resolved.
