Just in time for the release of Far Cry Primal, Ubisoft has done something to immortalize the amazing design and style of PS4 and DualShock 4, they asked world renowned stonemasons to carve them into stone!
Imagine people from a couple of centuries into the future stumbling upon the man cave that Ubisoft has made and seeing the console, controller, a TV set, a beer can and more made of stone. I can’t help but wonder what they will make of it.
Tom Goldberger, the Senior PR Manager at Ubisoft says that these designs portray the rich setting of the Stone Age which is the focal point of Primal, and despite not being an actually usable console and controller, they immortalize an iconic item of today’s world.
This project was undertaken to highlight the vast landscape and rich setting of the Stone Age era in Far Cry Primal. Nick has managed to immortalize, in stone, the beautiful, elegant designs of these iconic items with unbelievable accuracy.
Veteran stonemason, Nick Roberson, who has experience of working with Hollywood and more, was charged with carving out not only the PS4 and the DualShock 4 but also everyday items that have been put inside the infamous man cave Ubisoft has built to promote the game.
Out of everything he has carved for Far Cry Primal, Roberson says that “the buttons of the controllers were certainly tricky but I’m delighted with the final results and the fantastic way they’ve been collated for the shoot.”
However, if the items that actually belong to the Stone Age interest you more, Far Cry Primal releases on February 23.
