There is still time in League of Legends 2016 World Championship but we are sure that the pros are going to be spending these six months prepping. That being said, Riot Games has also shared some important details on the mega event so that everyone can clear their schedules ahead of time.
The 2016 World Championship is going to be held in a number of locations across North America this year and will start with the group stages on September 29.
Calling it “the ultimate U.S. road trip,” Riot Games has invited all of you to San Francisco, Chicago, New York and finally Los Angeles.
From coast to coast, each city will mark a new milestone on the teams’ competitive journey toward the final battle for the Summoner’s Cup. We’ll be revisiting iconic stadiums along the way, including Madison Square Garden and Staples Center, and bringing live League of Legends action to fans in new destinations.
The four major stages of League of Legends 2016 World Championship i.e. group, quarterfinals, semifinals and the finals have been dated and venue details have also been shared by the administration on their official website.
While they have promised to share more details on the mega event down the line, here’s what has been confirmed so far:
- Group Stage: September 29-October 2 + October 6-9 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, CA
- Quarterfinals: October 13-16 at The Chicago Theatre in Chicago, IL
- Semifinals: October 21-22 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY
- Finals: October 29 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA
