Just recently, a new report from VG247 came to light regarding ammo packs in Destiny. According to the report, which was based on a single unspecified source, Activation was going to charge players for ammo packs; a new type of microtransaction for Destiny, the news didn’t gel well with players at all.
Thankfully, players don’t need to worry about a thing. Activision has cleared the air by denying the addition of such microtransactions.
A company rep stated: “We’re not doing that.”
This should put any concerns over Destiny’s microtransactions model to rest.
Destiny is a major piece of software, one that is played by millions of users across the world. Naturally, such a massive game is going to be surrounded with controversy on some level. For now, rest assured that there is no truth to this particular report.
If you haven’t played Bungie’s shooter until now, we strongly recommend picking up Destiny: The Taken King on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 or Xbox 360.
Right now there is no word regarding a PC version of the game. However, a light of hope was found when Bungie was spotted looking for a “PC compatibility tester” last year. Sadly, things went dark and to this day we don’t clearly know what that was all about.
