Last week, we reported how Microsoft only managed to sell 99 Xbox One units in Japan. Today I’m going to discuss lifetime sales for Wii U, PS4, and Xbox One in the Land of the Rising Sun.

According to recent lifetime sales report, Nintendo’s Wii U sold over 3.0 million units, the PS4 sold 2.26 units, and Xbox One stands at 64,543 sold units.

Coming to market share, Wii U once again dominates the other two with 57% of market share. Playstation 4 sits at 42% and Xbox One with only 1%.

For the month of December 2015, the Wii U outsold Playstation 4 for the first time since June 2015. Both Playstation 4 and Wii U has outsold Xbox One every month since the console’s launch back in September 2014. In December, Wii U outsold Playstation 4 by 63,645 units and Xbox One by 313,517 units. Playstation 4 outsold Xbox One by 249,872 units.

Finally, coming to the market share for the month of December 2015, Wii U took the crown with 55% of the overall market share, Playstation 4 accounted for 44%, and Xbox One with only 1%. Once again, the lifetime sales of all three consoles in Japan are as follows:
