Report: Clash of Clans Earned the Most Mobile-Game Revenue in 2015
According to a recent report, the mobile game Clash of Clans has earned the most revenue for a mobile game in 2015.
The retrospective report comes from a mobile market research firm named App Annie that details mobile application industry in 2015.
The report reads that Clash of Clans earned the most revenue throughout 2015 on both Android and iOS and successfully beat competitors such as Candy Crush Saga and Game of War. Needless to say, but the developer SuperCell was also named as the highest earning mobile game developer of 2015.
This is not all! The report further details that both SuperCell and Clash of Clans were not only highest revenue-earners in the U.K., but also throughout the world.
Coming to other figures, while Clash of Clans leads in terms of earned revenue, Candy Crush Saga saw the highest number of active users while Crossy Road was the most downloaded game in the U.K. Electronic Arts, on the other hand, tops the list of publishers with most downloads overall.
Finally, the reports further states that in 2015; mobile games reached their full customer potential in far less time as compared to 2014. While it took 50 weeks in order to reach a game’s 90% user base in 2014, it took only 17 weeks in 2015.
