Avalanche Studios has released a major update for the PC version of its open-world action game Just Cause 3.

The update adds support for the upcoming Sky Fortress DLC expansion that aims to add new vehicles and missions to the explosives-friendly title. The size of the update is 1.1 GB.

A very large part of the update however is dedicated to fixing the stuttering and performance issues that have plagued the PC version of Just Cause 3. Many players with PCs well beyond the recommended specs have reported severe frame-rate stuttering and other performance-related issues.

The title does not support SLI multi-GPU setups, and currently Avalanche Studios is yet to comment on whether or not this update will address the issue.

Earlier this month, the Just Cause 3 Sky Fortress DLC and its content was revealed. The DLC expansion is a part of the Land, Air, and Sea Season Pass for the game.

In addition to this PC update, Avalanche has also promised more updates for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The updates are expected to improve performance on the console versions and also optimize loading times.

Users who have already updated are reporting improved performance less stuttering on Reddit, though it doesn’t seem to apply to everyone as there are folks who are still facing some problems.
