Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

According to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Creative Director Neil Druckmann, the upcoming game will conclude the saga of Nathan Drake as it doing a sequel with him is not possible.

In an interview with EuroGamer; Druckmann said that they have been with Nathan Drake for a long time and it is only fitting that they let him go at the height of his popularity as a way to honor him:

We’ve been with this character for so long… He’s at the height of his popularity, so it’s not a good business decision, but I feel like the best way to honour him is to go out on top, to finish his story.

Speaking of what’s next for Uncharted franchise and Nathan Drake, Druckmann said that it is very hard to do a sequel with Drake as the upcoming Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will conclude his saga, however, at the end of the day, the decision lies with Sony Computer Entertainment. May be Sony will go with a prequel or introduce a new character altogether, but for it’s time to bid Nathan Drake a farewell:

Whether that’s it for Uncharted? I don’t know. At the end of the day Sony owns Uncharted and they can do whatever they want. But with the end of this story it will be really hard to do a sequel with Nathan Drake. Maybe there’ll be a prequel, maybe it will be a different character – I don’t know. But this is the end for Nathan Drake.

What do you think should be Sony’s and Naught Dog’s next move should be? Conclude the saga once and for all or go with something like a prequel? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!
