If you think that the current game modes in Lara Croft’s latest adventure are not cruel enough for you, the Rise of the Tomb Raider Endurance Mode is here to satiate your needs.
The Endurance Mode is being sold by the Xbox Store as a separate DLC right now and it is going to cost you $10 if you want – unless you have the Season Pass of course.
So what you are looking at with the Rise of the Tomb Raider Endurance Mode is the harshest to date test of Lara vs. the wilderness that fans of the game have been loving so far.
You have to collect everything that you need to survive, you have to stay vigilant of the cold as well as the forest fires which are probably as lethal as the beasts and the human enemies that come at you all the time.
You need to get food and you need to craft stuff; no matter what you do scavenging and scrounging for supplies is going to be a necessity all the time.
Alone and in the wild, Lara must scrounge, scavenge, craft and survive the harsh elements by day, as well as lethal threats from enemies, both man and beast, by night. This is her ultimate woman-versus-wild test to push the limits of how long she can survive on her own in sprawling, unforgiving landscapes. Fire takes fuel, cold kills the unprepared, food restores health, but everything must be caught, collected, or crafted. You start with nothing and must find everything. Challenge friends to your longest survival run and battle to the top of the leaderboards for the title of Ultimate Survivor. Includes a new outfit and weapon.
In the past, two other content packs namely the Ancient Vanguard and Wilderness Survivor DLC were accidentally released but rolled back immediately. They will be released in January and February respectively now.
