Christmas is coming ever closer and everybody is doing their last minute shopping. While people are spending so much money, it is the perfect time to start the sale.
The Steam Winter Sale is something that some PC players dread, because it is so easy to spend too much cash on the deals. The good (or bad news) is that it has started today. Here are some of the big deals that are worth a look at:
- Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain (33% off)
- The Witcher Franchise (50% – 85% off, including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 50% off)
- Grand Theft Auto 5 (40% off)
- Just Cause 3 (20% off)
- Rocket League (30% off)
- ARK: Survival Evolved (40% off)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 (25% off)
- Kerbal Space Program (40% off)
- Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (50% off)
With some of the biggest games of the year seeing discounts this is the perfect time to get hold of the games you may have missed. With The Witcher 3 having 50% off this is a good saving, and as it features in many people’s game of the year list this is a steal.
One thing that also comes with the Steam Winter Sale is also the Steam service struggling to cope. At the time of writing the Steam site is coming up with the error:
“The Steam Store is experiencing some heavy load right now. Please try again later.”
Thankfully this just seems to be a sporadic error that isn’t causing too many problems. With the big rush to view the sales though, this is obviously causing a few problems.
With the sale ending 10AM PST, January 4 there is plenty of time to get some of the best deals that will be appearing. So patience may be needed for any downtime Vault may have.
