One of the biggest games of 2016 will be Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. As well as the trailer that has been shown in cinemas we also have some behind the scenes footage and some new gameplay.
In the gameplay footage that you can see above (from 4:00) we see the player go through “Sam’s Pursuit” which is similar to the demo we’ve seen in the past. This time though the player isn’t somebody who has had as much practice as the person running the previous demo. This footage looks more organic and realistic.
Watching the player make mistakes shows off the game in a way gamers can relate to, making it feel like more of a real playthrough. What really gets interesting though is the fact that we get to see more of the game after the original demo ended, and we get to see the introduction of a well-known character to the game. I won’t spoil it, but it is nice to see the game coming together.
The second video can be viewed here and is a behind the scenes look at the making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. In it we see plenty of motion capture work from Nolan North and Troy Baker, revealing how some of the scenes we’ve already seen were captured. All interesting stuff for people who are looking forward to the game.
The timing of the release of videos like this is working well to build up 2016 as a big year for games. Uncharted 4 is going to be one of the biggest.
