Visceral’s Star Wars Title to be an Open-World Action RPG
Visceral has almost confirmed that its upcoming Star Wars title is an open-world action role-playing game.
Although Visceral has yet to openly confirm it, a recent job listing on Career-4 suggests an open-world action role-playing game. Here is the official description of the job:
Bring your system game design skills and savvy and your love of Star Wars to Visceral Games, Embracing and contributing to the project vision in areas of heroes control/mechanics, AI behavior, combat/weapons, class design, skill/progression, enemy design, story and boss encounters.
In addition to this, we know ex-Ubisoft Producer Jade Raymond is heading the project alongside Uncharted story writer Amy Hennig. With talent like this behind the project, it should suffice to say that fans might get the Star Wars experience they have been craving for!
In related Star Wars news, there is still some hope for the revival of Star Wars 1313; according to LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy:
Our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to!
