Star Wars 1313 was cancelled years ago but hope for its revival is still alive, oh yes it is. According to Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, they are looking at some cancelled projects and that includes Star Wars 1313.
This means that we may possibly see the return of Star Wars 1313 in some shape or form. Kennedy said in statement released recently:
Our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to,
Keep in mind that “not throw away” doesn’t mean they are bringing back the game. We may very well never see this game ever again.
However, if we do see it again, chances are that it will be development by EA which is not something fans would want to see after Battlefront.
Sadly, the title could be screwed up similarly to Star Wars Battlefront. Star Wars 1313 was suppose to be a dark toned and mature take on the universe, but after Disney took over, the title was cancelled.
Star Wars Battlefront was released earlier this year and although it is a commercial success, for players it became monotonous after a few hours. Lack of content was a major complaint and that is not something we want to see in Star Wars 1313.
