The Division Rated MA 15+ for Strong Themes and Violence
This not something we didn’t expect, after all we are talking about an apocalyptic world with pandemics, lawlessness, and a number of enemies who stop at nothing because they have nothing. However, Tom Clancy’s The Division has been rated MA 15+.
Australian Classification Board, which is rather strict in allowing sensitive game content, recently listed the game on their official website and cited a number of reasons for the rating.
The primary cause of the MA 15+ rating is that the game comes with strong themes and violence. There is some crude language but it has a moderate impact, coupled with a mild impact of sexual content and a very mild impact of drug use.
An MA 15+ rating means that Tom Clancy’s The Division is supposed to be age restricted to users who are over the age of 15.
However, some of you might have been expecting a little more than this because you would expect a lawless United States to be more prone to sex and drugs as it is apparently shown in the game.
Anyhow, you can check out the game’s Skill Trees and Weapon Mods at work in this gameplay video that was shared last month, or check out this sneak peak into the Equipment Progression of Tom Clancy’s The Division.
