Rainbow Six Siege Errors, Connection, Crashes, Lag, Freezing and Fixes

How to fix Rainbow Six Siege errors, crashes, connection issues, unable to join squad, servers not available and related problems.

Rainbow Six Siege has been under a lot of criticism since its early beta stages and has been struggling to address the concerns. I was a little skeptical too about the release but after my hands-on experience, I did enjoy the co-op action the game has to offer with friends.

It’s true that the game has its fair share of problems, primarily related to connectivity but once these issues are sorted out, you will have a good playing the game. While Ubisoft is working to resolve the known issues, you can browse through our troubleshooting guide to find the possible fixes.

#1 Rainbow Six Siege Connectivity Issues
If you are unable to connect and you are constantly getting “service not available message” then there are chances that game’s servers might be offline. Since the game is relatively new, there are chances that you might face these issues often. To check the service status however, you can keep track of the game’s official twitter account.

#2 Rainbow Six Siege Skins Unlock Bug
Some users have reported that they cannot use the unlocked skins for weapons in-game even though Uplay is showing the unlocked status. It should be noted that those skins aren’t available for all the weapons so until you don’t unlock a specific weapon, you can’t use the particular skin.

#3 Rainbow Six Siege – Error 3-0x000A0016 Unable to Connect
The issue has been narrowed down to the people using wi-fi connection. If you can, try using a wired connection and see if you can make it into the game. The problem can also occur due to VPN so disabling it can fix the issue.

You also need to make sure that your firewall or security tool isn’t blocking the game. You may also need to forward the following ports in case you are behind a router:

Uplay
TCP: 80, 443, 13000, 13005, 13200, 14000, 14001, 14008

R6: Siege
UDP: 10000-10099, 3074, 3658
TCP: 80, 443

#4 Rainbow Six Siege – High Latency
If you are sure that you are connected to the correct data center and still getting high ping, there a couple of things you can try to fix the issue. First, makes sure that the ports mentioned in #3 aren’t blocked in your router.

If that’s not the case, you need to ensure that your firewall tool or antivirus isn’t blocking your game. Needless to say that if you are running any downloads or uploads, it may affect your overall latency.

#5 Rainbow Six Siege Can’t Join Squads – Error Code 2-0x00000076
There is a long list of troubleshooting methods through which you can fix the connectivity related issues.

As a possible workaround, someone has mentioned that using a VPN like hamachi can fix the squad joining issue. I am not sure about it but I think it’s worth of a shot.

#6 Rainbow Six Siege Crimson Driver Crash Issue
AMD is having some troubles in maintaining its Crimson suite as it’s causing game to crash and Rainbow Six Siege can be one of them. As a workaround for now, roll back your GPU drivers to previous build and the game should run fine for you.

#7 Rainbow Six Siege Mic Not Working Issue
Based on multiple reports for audio devices not working properly, Ubisoft is already trying to sort out the issue. If you are having problems too, you can share your dxdiag here to help in fixing the issue.

#8 Rainbow Six Siege Freezing Fix
If your are experiencing random freezes during the gameplay, you should try re-installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from the official site.
