Omega Force, the developers of Arslan The Warriors of Legend are all set to launch the game’s playable demo for the PlayStation 4 platform early next year.
Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced that North America and European fans are going to be able to try out the hack and slash title starting January 12.
While I have also have another reason for wanting to write on this game (like having a talented Associate Editor at SegmentNext with the same name), what makes it important for some is that the game is basically a direct adaptation of Yoshiki Tanaka’s novel series The Heroic Legend of Arslan.
Moreover, if you play the PS4 demo of Arslan The Warriors of Legend, you will also get your hands on a newly announced Free Mode which comes with food based boosts that let your players with added stats for things like health and attack among other things. Here’s some more information:
As anyone who has watched The Heroic Legend of Arslan will know, Narsus’s page Elam is a culinary genius, and his cooking often delights his co-travelers during their quest. This gastronomic side of Elam’s has now been incorporated into the battle preparations!
During the course of the game, players can locate and collect recipe books hidden throughout the story mode. These can be used in Free Mode prior to battle to give the controlled character an ability boost. The various foods, such as Lamb Skewers, Stewed Chicken, and Potluck Soup can provide different effects such as increased health, attack boosts, healing, bonus gold, bonus experience, and more!
As far as the release of Arslan The Warriors of Legend is concerned, the game is being developed for PS3, PS4 and Xbox One and will be released sometime in the second week of February.
