While we know that Tekken 7 will be releasing on PlayStation 4 we still don’t know a release date. This may be changing on December 12 at the King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015.
It has been revealed during a live stream on Twitch by game director Katsuhiro Harada that there will be an announcement on December 12, about Tekken 7. Obviously people are hoping that this will be some details as to when Tekken 7 will be available on PlayStation 4.
While we don’t know many details about the PlayStation 4 release we do know that it will be running on the Unreal Engien4 and will feature “new graphics” as revealed by Harada on Twitter:
Working on new graphics RT@KazamaAsuka Can we expect graphics upgrade in console version? the graphics barely improved since arcade released
— Katsuhiro Harada (@Harada_TEKKEN) November 24, 2015
This comment on new graphics may mean that the game will look better on PlayStation 4 than it does at the moment in the arcades. As the game already looks impressive, it will be interesting to see where improvements will be made.
With the fact that there is no news on an Xbox One release fans will obviously want some news on this. With Street Fighter 5 being a PlayStation 4 exclusive, there will be people hoping that Tekken 7 may fill the gap somewhat for fans of fighting games.
With no announcement that the game is a PlayStation 4 exclusive yet, it does seem that it could be on its way to Xbox One. We’ll have to see if Harada will provide us with some details about that soon.
