Specific numbers aren’t shared but surely a buttload of units were sold. Selling hardware isn’t an issue for Microsoft, Xbox One is doing well. However, software sales are underwhelming on Xbox One and it may put-off third party developers in the future.
Titanfall, Forza 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, all great games but not blockbuster hits. For now, third party exclusive deals are available to Xbox One, but if more and more copies aren’t sold, developers may consider moving such deals over to PlayStation 4.
Let’s see what the future holds for Microsoft’s latest gaming machine.
