Players of Star Wars Battlefront will be experiencing some differences to the game today as a new patch has arrived for the game. While the patch notes don’t give away too much, it appears the changes are easily seen during battle.
Star Wars Battlefront has now been patched to version 1.03, here are the notes:
- General bug fixes for vehicles and physics improvements
- Game modes balancing tweaks
- HUD UI adjustments
- Audio optimizations
- General crash and stability fixes
- Online traffic performance improvements
- Various text fixes for all languages
- General bug fixes for both Missions and Multiplayer
While these aren’t detailed enough to give away much about the changes that can be seen in the game both the forum and Reddit give clues as to what has changed. From what people are reporting, Barrage which is the rank 24 star card that lets you fire a volley of 3 grenades with a short fuse has been rebalanced. One person on the forum, speedmonkey had this to say about the “nerfing” of the Barrage:
“I think its nice that they nerfed the barrage, like its not enough with nades spamming”
Though another user of the forum was not so happy:
“Well now that all nades are useless, you better start camping them tokens. It’s the only way you’re going to see buildings cleared now.”
So obviously you can’t please everybody with updates like this. Other users of the forum and Reddit were more annoyed that some balancing had not been done yet.
With the imminent release of Battle of Jakku which comes December 8, it is obvious that Star Wars Battlefront is preparing the game for the release of the DLC.
