Telltale’s CEO Confirms Game of Thrones Season 2; Development Discussed

Do you like the way Telltale Games is taking the Game of Thrones episodic title? If you were intrigued by how the first season ended, we are sure you will be glad to know that the Season 2 has been confirmed!

Kevin Bruner, the chief executive officer of Telltale Games, was recently interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter where he officially confirmed the Season 2.

I’m pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones series, and that it’s currently in development.

Moreover, he discussed what the Season 2 is going to revolve around and revealed that the survivors of the last season and the conclusion of the same is going to play a major role:

The questions left on the table at the conclusion of season one, who survived and who didn’t, as well as all the other choices you made play a huge role in the second season. We’ve been planning the second season all along, but I really shouldn’t be revealing more than that.

Bruner did not want to share a lot about the current state of development of the Season 2, so he simply said that their games “exist longer on whiteboards and sticky notes and in scripts longer than they do in traditional game production,” which is why it is never really possible to pinpoint exactly how far they have come.

the rough idea is that they are in the early stages and, in his own words, “there’s never a shortage of sticky notes on the walls around the studio.”
