Tomb Raider Movie Reboot Will be Directed by Roar Uthaug

Roar Uthaug, the director of The Wave is going to direct Tomb Raider movie reboot.

If you have watched The Wave, you will know who we are talking about – if not, we suggest you check out that natural disaster based flick. Anyhow, the Tomb Raider movie reboot, which almost everyone has their eyes set on, is going to be developed by the guy who directed The Wave, Roar Uthaug.

This news has been shared by The Hollywood Reporter who claim that Roar Uthaug has been contracted by MGM and Warner Bros. for the film which is going to be produced by GK Films.

While this is all but confirmed, it is also expected that Geneva Robertson-Dworet, the guy behind Transformers 5 and Black List script Hibernation, is going to be writing the script of Tomb Raider movie reboot.

Graham King of GK Films got rights to the franchise from Square Enix about for years ago and ever since then, speculations have been circling the gaming as well as movie community regarding the film.

It is expected that Angelina Jolie, who played the female protagonist Lara Croft in the two past movies, is not going to star in the upcoming Tomb Raider movie reboot. This has given rise to yet another question as to who will replace her, and the name of Camilla Luddington – of Rise of the Tomb Raider – has come up.
