Nintendo 3DS Reigns Supreme in the Media Create Charts

While PlayStation 4 did very well in the sales charts, the true winner was Nintendo 3DS in its many forms which continued to dominate Media Create

Every Wednesday Media Create post release charts for Japan, and they usually provide some interesting reading. Not only did they reveal a milestone had been passed for the PlayStation 4 but also showed the continued dominance of the Nintendo 3DS.

DualShockers have revealed the Media Create figures and they can be viewed below:

  3. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – PS4 – 32,078

  5. Disney Magical World 2 – 3DS – 19,605
  6. Need for Speed – PS4 – 18,598
  7. Yo-kai Watch Busters – 3DS – 15,580
  8. Super Mario Maker – Wii U – 12,442
  9. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – PS3 – 11,123
  10. God Eater Resurrection – PS Vita – 8,752
  11. Zelda: Tri Force Heroes – 3DS – 7,670

As is easy to see Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and PlayStation 4 do reign at the top of the charts, but what can’t be ignored is the dominance of 3DS titles in the list, as well as the 3DS handheld console itself. With the device holding 2nd, 5th, 7th, and 9th positions on the charts, if these were added together the 3DS would easily outmatch other consoles.

The Wii U hasn’t done badly either with 20,000 units sold. The Xbox One sits at the bottom of the chart with only 524 sold.
