DICE is offering another shooter this year and it’s not a Battlefield game. Star Wars Battlefront has a lot of expectations associated with it and fans around the globe aren’t going to wait for anything to get their hands on it.

The game essentially is a multiplayer experience and with the power of Frostbite, those large scale battles are sure to pacify the nerd inside you.

The game has just been released and users are already crowding the forums to report different issues they are encountering. DICE has already rolled out two day one updates to address the major problems and they are hard at work to fix the common reported issues.

In the meanwhile, you can browse through our troubleshooting guide for the relevant fixes and workarounds.

#1 Star Wars Battlefront Black Screen Fix
There are a few things you can try to fix the black screen issue. First, make sure that you are using the latest GPU drivers (AMD, Nvidia).

If that’s not the issue and you are using SLI/Crossfire, try disabling it. As a Laptop user, you should make sure that the game is being run using the dedicated GPU.

Black Screen can also occur due to resolution conflict. Try running the game is same resolution as of your desktop. You can also try running the game in windowed mode if you are unable to get to settings menu in-game.

#2 Star Wars Battlefront – Can’t Use Numpad Keys
EA games don’t allow you to assign any Numpad keys for any functions so you should try using other keys to fix the issue.

#3 Star Wars Battlefront – Black Screen Issue Due to Third Party Software
If you are using any third party tool for chat or recording and you get a black screen while playing, just press Alt + Tab to minimize the game and then get back in.

#5 Star Wars Battlefront – Lag/Connectivity Issues
First thing you need to make sure is that the ports mentioned in #4 are not being blocked by your router. Sometimes, restarting your router can also fix the lag/latency issues.

You also need to make sure that your game is not being blocked by a firewall or any other security tool you might have installed. For console users, NAT-type should be set to moderate or open. You also need to make sure that your game is up to date as the day one updates have many fixes included as well.

#6 Star Wars Battlefront – Joystick Not Working
Joysticks aren’t supported by Star Wars Battlefront so there is no point in trying.

#7 Star Wars Battlefront – CE-24632-8 Error on PS4
If you are still getting this error, restart your console to install the latest update as a fix for the issue has already been deployed.

#8 Star Wars Battlefront – 100% CPU Usage Issue
The problem was prevalent during the beta but there hasn’t been many reports about it in the full release. However, if you are still facing the same issue, try limiting your frame rate as unlimited FPS can push your hardware to limits.

#9 Star Wars Battlefront – APPCRASH
To fix this issue, try repairing your game as you will encounter this error if some files are missing or corrupted. The repair will also ensure that your game is up to date.

#10 Star Wars Battlefront – Audio Stuttering Fix
Some users have reported that they are experiencing audio stutter without the performance being affected. If that’s the case with you, try reducing your sound quality (khz value). There is no single value so you will have to experiment a bit to resolve the issue depending on your sound card.

#11 Star Wars Battlefront – Missing Text in Menu
Many users are reporting that they are facing an issue where there is no text throughout the menu screens. To fix the issue, you need to make sure that your Origin is installed properly and it’s not just a copy you might have taken from somewhere else.

Also, there have been reports that VPNs may cause this bug so if you are using one locally, try disabling it.
