When it comes to Amiibos collectors already know the troubles of getting the rare ones. With the Golden Mario Amiibo being one of the rarest, could there be a new way to get it soon?
Already sold out, the Golden Mario was a Walmart exclusive that was soon snapped up by lucky fans or scalpers looking for a quick buy so they could make more money off it by reselling at a higher price. In a recent tweet by Amiibo News though the Amiibo terminal at Walmart appears to have gone through an interesting change:

Not only has Golden Mario made a re-appearance on the terminal but now he is not listed as a Walmart exclusive. Is this a hint that he may be returning in greater numbers and to more retailers? While there is no news on this happening, fans are sure to be hoping this is the case. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement about the restocking of the Amiibo, so until then this is only speculation, as is the possibility of the Golden Amiibo appearing at other retailers. We’ll just have to see what comes of this, if anything at all. Though one reply to the above Tweet appears to hint he has been seen in other places too:

So is this further proof that he is in fact returning? We’ll have to keep an eye out for more news on this development.
