Bethesda has released a new patch for Fallout 4 on PC. The update, version 1.1.30, is intended to bring a quick fix to a game crashing bug that creates problems with Xaudio drivers.
The update is so far released only in a beta version. Bethesda’s Community Lead has shared details on what you need to do to update to the 1.1.30 Beta on PC. Here’s the step-by-step procedure:
Step 1: Log into Steam.
Step 2: Right-click on Fallout 4 in your Library.
Step 3: Head over to Settings and select Betas.
Step 4: Select beta – 1.1.30 Beta Update from a drop down menu.
Step 5: Click on OK and wait a few minutes for Fallout 4 to update.
Step 6: When done, Fallout 4 should appear as Fallout 4 [beta] in your Library.
If you decide you don’t want to run the Beta anymore, redo steps 1 – 4. At the drop down, select NONE – Opt out of all beta programs.
