Bethesda took the gaming community by surprise when they announced that Fallout 4 will be featuring mods on PS4 and Xbox One version of the game, essentially allowing for unlimited content in the game similar to what PC users have been experiencing for years on previous Fallout and Elder Scrolls games.
While modding on PC can be rewarding, it certainly is a long and tedious process although made bearable by the amount of control PC users have over the operating system.
Obviously such a thing isn’t possible with consoles which is what made many people wonder exactly how will they be installing mods, downloading newer versions and making other alterations when it comes to consoles.
While no actual method of delivery has been fixed yet, Bethesda is aiming to make the process as simple as downloading any other game from the console marketplace and creating a user friendly experience for those who have absolutely no experience with mods.
The mod service, BethesdaNet will automatically set the load orders and locations of the mods and users will simply have to start the download.
Currently the mod creation tools for Fallout 4 are expected to launch sometime in 2016 however the first mod for the game is already available to download for PC users.
