Halo 5: Guardians free-for-all guide to help you reach champion or at least get a better hang of the mode.
FFA in Halo is easily one of the most entertaining and frustrating mode I’ve ever come across. On top of that, only the top 200 players in the world are allotted in ‘Champion’ division.
This guide is basically provides an overview of how to do better in FFA and reach the ‘Champion’ division:
First of all, note that FFA is 8 players mode with 7 of them constantly trying to eliminate you. The most frustrating thing about FFA is someone shooting you from behind while you’re trying to kill someone.
The first thing that you need to do is to hold an area and try to eliminate enemies from that position. You need to make sure that you do not chase enemies or you’ll die pretty fast.
However, in order to secure some kills, ensure that you’re in a high traffic area with constant flow of enemies around you. If you’re sitting in a corner, you aren’t doing anything worthwhile.
Another thing that you need to bear in mind is Power Weapon acquisition. These weapons can easily change the tide of a match and must be acquired by you most of the time.
To do so, you need to ensure that you are well aware of the fact as to when and where a particular weapon will spawn. Once you know that, get there before and wait for enemies, kill them, and obtain the weapon at the right time.
Finally, do note that the spawns in Halo 5: Guardians FFA are messed up as of this instant. There will be times when you’ll come across enemies right behind you. The idea is not to get frustrated and just keep on playing at your normal pace and you’ll do fine eventually.
