InXile Delays Torment Tides of Numenera to 2016; Wasteland 2 Dev Joins the Team

While InXile’s Torment Tides of Numenera did not have a confirmed 2015 date to start with, the assumption being pushed by the developers was that it will come out this year. However, that is not the case anymore.

The game’s project manager has changed, and the first thing that InXile has done is to push the game to 2016 officially. Chris Keenan, the new project manager took to the game’s Kickstarter page with the announcement.

As a fresh set of eyes on the project I can tell you it’s shaping up to be the awesome experience you all expect and deserve. However, to maintain the quality standard we’ve set for ourselves, we can’t rush through these final stages to get it out the door. Instead, we’re going to take the time we need on Torment: Tides of Numenera, which means we are planning a 2016 release.

Keenan is known for being the Project Lead on Wasteland 2 who has been at InXile for about 12 years and he has just joined the team. However, he promises to build upon the core vision of Torment Tides of Numenera that has been provided by the team that started to develop it.

Torment Tides of Numenera is being developed for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS. Expect a release in mid 2016 now.
