If you are a Sonic the Hedgehog fan and someone who likes to keep playing the good old games that came out when we are kids, this news is going to make you sad.
It has been announced that Sega is going to pull down Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 from the Wii U Virtual Console as well as the the Xbox Live Arcade.
We can understand (maybe) the reason why they are pulling the games down, but it is cruel that the announcement has been made only now considering that Sega is giving the fans until tonight to do whatever they want with both the titles.
Both the titles are from the The Mega Drive / Genesis era and countless of us loved playing them in the good old days.
The news came out through Japanese magazine Famitsu where it was reported that on Friday, October 30, 2015 both the games will be pulled down. This means today is the last day they will be up for sale.
On the upside, the PlayStation versions of Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 both is going to stay available alongside the third installment in the series. Last but not the least, the 3DS variant of the games titled 3D Sonic the Hedgehog is also going to stay up.
