Best Positions
Top Mid – This map is one of the smallest multiplayer maps in the game. A good place to spend no more than 4 seconds on is Top Mid. This gives view of practically the entire map, making it the ideal place for reconnaissance.

However, because of the close-quarters nature of this map, it’s not recommended to stay here for more than a few seconds.

It’s extremely easy for players to attack anyone who is on Top Mid, as he/she is visible from a good distance. Simply chug a grenade or use your awesome aim to take out any enemy hoping to perform recon here.

Empire Map Tips and Strategy
Being one of the smallest multiplayer maps in the game, Empire’s symmetry ensures that a fast-paced, equally balanced battle takes place, irrespective of which game mode you’re playing here.

You want to start off by getting to the Over-shield as quickly as possible. Don’t be afraid to march head-on into an open gunfight for it, since obtaining the Over-shield early on gives you a huge advantage over the opponent that can dictate the outcome of the entire map.

If the opposing team has managed to acquire the Over-shield ahead of yours, a good way to counter is to head to the Turbine and acquire the Plasma Pistol.

A fully charged shot from the Plasma Pistol can instantly destroy the shields of an opponent, even if they have Over-shield equipped. As the weapon encourages close-quarters, you’ll also want to send your team out to Tower Two for the Shotgun.

You shouldn’t have to do this straight away, but trying it out on the second wave is always recommended, as Shotguns make short work of enemies in such a closed environment.

During Capture the Flag, you want to push directly through the center of the map. The longer routes through the perimeters isn’t recommended as it can be long and easy to intercept due to the small size of the map.

A good way to dominate the map initially is to head into the Tower and control all three floors. This will allow your team to defend the Overshield in the Pit.

It’s also an excellent way to assist a flag capturer in CtF as they run through the center of the map.
