Halo 5: Guardians is finally available on Xbox One and 343 Industries’ second title of the Halo franchise – not counting Halo: The Master Chief Collection – is getting impressive reviews everywhere.
However, those who have finished the game might be a bit disappointed with its length since it’s only around 7-8 hours long and, that too, if you don’t rush through any segment of the game and play on Heroic difficulty. Of course, searching for all the Skulls and Intel files will increase the duration by a few hours as will playing it on Legendary difficulty.
It looks like there is some more bad news for those players – or good, depends how you feel about DLC – because 343i has announced that the developers have no plans to work on a campaign DLC for the game which means the next part of the reclaimer saga will be dealt in Halo 6.
In an interview with Redbull; Creative Director Josh Holmes said, “while we’re always looking for new ways to expand the Halo universe, we do not currently have any plans to release future campaign content for Halo 5: Guardians.”
However, this doesn’t mean the end of future content for Halo 5. Like every previous game, Halo 5 also has an engaging multiplayer with new game modes this time and there will definitely be downloadable maps available for multiplayer in the future.
