Fallout 4 Mod Tools Won’t be Available on Xbox One or PS4, Only PC

Pete Hines has confirmed that the Fallout 4 mod tools are not going to be released to consoles at all.

Just in case you weren’t clear on this before, it has now been confirmed by the game developers at Bethesda Softworks that the Fallout 4 mod tools are only going to be available on the PC version of the game.

In other words, the mods will only be playable on Xbox One and (hopefully) the PS4 version but you won’t be able to create mods on the consoles.

Pete Hines, the vice president of public relations and marketing at Bethesda Softworks, was inquired on his official Twitter account that “referring to console modding, are we gonna be able to do everything a PC can do?”

In his reply, Hines said that while “mods will be playable on consoles. The mod tools will not be released on console.”

So this means that fans who get the Xbox One or PS4 version of the game are still going to have to rely on the PC users in order to play the community created experiences because they will be the only people with access to Fallout 4 mod tools.
