First, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 developers decided to cut singleplayer campaign from the game. Hardware limitations surely played a role in that but millions of fans who own last-gen consoles weren’t happy at all.
Now, it looks like Treyarch has put salt on their wounds. According to a listing on the Xbox Store, the season pass for the game will not be available on Xbox 360. No listing of the Season Pass for PS3 were found as well. The season pass would have given access to maps from World at War and previous Black Ops games, in addition to other content.
According to the listing: “Season Pass and ‘The Giant’ Zombies bonus map are not available on Xbox 360.”
One question that pops up in my mind and I’m sure you’ll be thinking the same thing, why bother releasing Black Ops 3 on last-gen consoles? No single player campaign, no season pass, so why?
It isn’t yet clear if players will be able to buy season pass content separately or not. We’ll let you know as soon as more updates arrive on that.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 will release on November 6 on current and last-gen consoles and PC. Will you buy Black Ops 3 on PS3 or Xbox 360 now?
