Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Review Roundup, Better But Not Great

While the official release date for the console version of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is 23rd October, Ubisoft has lifted the review embargo a day earlier allowing for critics to publish their thoughts about what works and what doesn’t in this new installment of the yearly Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The main game is set in Victorian Era London and features for the first time in the franchise, two playable characters; twins Jacob and Evie Frye. This installment also marks the first time since the release of Brotherhood that the game does not feature a multiplayer/co-op mode or a companion app (with the exception of Assassin’s Creed Rogue).

Judging by the reviews, the new installment is definitely a fresh new adventure, introducing a fun new cast and gameplay changes. All the below stated scores are out of 10 unless stated otherwise:
