The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone Download Size and Unlock Time Details

The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone launches tomorrow and CD Projekt Red have revealed some details on the release. Taking to Twitter, Community Lead Marcin Momot announced download sizes as well as when the game will unlock.

With The Witcher 3 already being a big game and having a 17GB patch already this month gamers will obviously be worried about the size of the extension. It appears that there isn’t too much to worry about, though I’m sure if they’ve already been through the huge patch download, even a small download size like this (in comparison) could still be a worry:

With the download being around 4GB (5GB for Xbox One) it should be easier for buyers of the DLC to find some space for it. It appears that some of the changes that were required for the new content may have been in update 1.10, so the more painful 17GB download did most of the work.

On when Hearts of Stone will actually unlock, Momot revealed:

Hopefully everything will run smoothly with this DLC and fans can start playing the new story. The next expansion is set to be Blood and Wine which will come in Q1 of 2016.
