Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’s release is just weeks away and with big releases like these we often see them sponsor some of the biggest television shows. It looks like Activision have connected with The Walking Dead this time, which has its Season 6 premier this weekend.
As Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is famous for its zombie mode it’s fitting for the game to connect with The Walking Dead. The game’s mode this time will be Film-Noir-inspired Shadows of Evil, set in the 1940s. Featuring a Femme Fatale, Magician, Cop and Boxer it takes place in Morg City.
While The Walking Dead is set in more modern times, it does feature many city locations. Though in season 6 they are currently in Alexandria, a more suburban area so far protected from the outside world. We can expect this to change with dangers both alive and dead circling the protected area though.
What connects the two entertainment phenonemons together is of course the violence. Both the game and the television show features plenty of gunfights and zombie bottles and plenty of action.
The sponsorship was first seen in TV spots for the show, and are now prominent in New York where a Premier event for the show is taking place. YouTuber MRDalek JD who is currently in the city for the event even posted a picture showing himself with the cast:
