Blizzard seems to be all set to not only bring in old StarCraft and StarCraft 2 players into the fold, but also attract new potential players for the epic conclusion of their StarCraft saga by offering the first three prologue missions of the upcoming StarCraft 2 expansion Legacy of the Void for free.
Legacy of the Void is just around the corner after an incredibly long wait and to increase the hype for it; Blizzard has announced that The Whispers of Oblivion prologue missions, which act as a bridge between Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void is free for everyone, whether they own the previous games or not.
Interested players just need to log in to Blizzard’s Battle.Net app, select StarCraft 2 from the games list and download the starter pack.
Known for its fantastic gameplay worlds and franchises such as WarCraft and StarCraft, there is no doubt that Blizzard has had some negative press in the past couple of years, especially in the case StarCraft 2 which originally released in 2010 and then the next expansion took almost 3 years.
Such a long wait has no doubt hurt the fans and many of them got bored and moved away which is why Heart of the Swarm sales suffered.
Perhaps Blizzard learned from that lesson and these free missions are just their way of attracting back people to the game before the final expansion releases on November 10th.
