Star Wars Battlefront features playable heroes and villains such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader among others. There has been some confusion over how they will be accessed, so DICE shared a post detailing the Heroes and Villains systems of Battlefront.
Players can take the role of a Hero or Villain by locating a pick-up for the character. Once the pick-up is located, players can play as a hero or villain. However, HP of the character will decrease over time but some of it can be restored by killing enemies.
According to EA:
Our goal was to give an average player around two minutes as a Hero or Villain. But if you’re good enough, you might stretch that to around five minutes. In theory, you could play as Luke Skywalker for a whole match, but that is extremely unlikely. That said, the gauntlet is thrown!
EA also shared a bit about Luke’s moveset, saying that he can perform a Force Jump to avoid enemy’s attack, use heavy attacks to cause significant damage, and with his Force Push he can throw a target away.
