Super Mario Maker is a pretty interesting idea, and although some folks had their doubt about its success, it seems Nintendo has got what they wanted.
The gaming giant announced that over 1 million user-generated levels in the sandbox platformer had already been created. That’s an impressive achievement by the game, considering it was only released just a week ago.
It seems that the infamous plumber and his ever-lasting set of adventures never get old, which is why the platformer is doing so well in such little time.
For those who don’t know, Super Mario Maker is a Wii U game. What’s special about this side-scrolling platformer is that it allows players to create their own custom levels using elements from previous Super Mario games like Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U.
Once created, such levels can be shared online through Course World. Other players can then download these levels and play them. Additional tools from the Toolbox are given to players as they progress in their build-up, so the game does offer good progression and re-playability.
