Ever since Bethesda announced that Fallout 4 mods will also be available for the console version of the game, I have been even more excited about it. However, the mod tools are not going to accompany the game upon release, but get launched later in early 2016.
This was revealed recently by Todd Howard, Game Director and Executive Producer at Bethesda Game Studios in a set of videos that were originally shot at E3 2015. In the videos, developers are talking in detail about the open world elements of the game as well as other features like crafting and customization.
We have embedded the two videos above and below for your convenience, but lets talk about some of the things in there.
Firstly, Howard added that instead of the protagonist, the world itself is treated as the main character by the developers of Fallout 4, and it is truly fascinating how they go about handling that:
The world ultimately becomes the main character of our games. A lot of stuff we do, we want to show you that world, and you immediately think ‘what would I do in that circumstance? Who would I want to be?’ and that makes it much more personal to you, and much more of a different experience than other games, other types of entertainment.
Fallout 4 releases November 10, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows; but until then you can check out the two videos to learn more about it.
