If you were worried about which way the Naruto series will go in the future, we have news to make relax on that front. Bandai Namco has registered not one but three trademarks for the series!
Names of the three games that have been registered are Narutimate Wars, Narutimate Braves, and Narutimate Blazing (thanks GameKana).
Now don’t worry about the titles looking different. They have been registered with the Japan Patents Office and so the language used is Japanese. Also, longstanding fans of the series would know that in Japanese, Narutimate is actually the series name for Naruto.
It is for the same reason that Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is called Naruto Shippūden: Narutimate Storm 4 in Japan.
This brings me to another question; could it mean that Bandai Namco actually registered three subseries names like Storm? Or are these going to be three of the next games in the series?
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 is known to be the last game in the Storm series which is being developed by CyberConnect 2. However, the three new trademarks clearly evidence that it is not going to be the last game you play in the franchise.
So far, that is all we have for you but keep checking back for more since we expect Bandai Namco to explain what this is all about very soon.
