A guide on how to complete the Sunless Cell strike in Destiny: The Taken King and defeat the final boss in the said strike.
Destiny: The Taken King Sunless Cell Strike
The game’s newest expansion brings in 4 new strikes; each containing different challenges, loot, and a boss confrontation. This guide provides an overview of everything you need to know about the Sunless Cell strike.
Entering the Hive Prison
As soon as the strike starts, you need to deal with a bunch of Acolytes, Wizards, and Thralls in the Mausoleum. Once you’re done with all these enemies, you need to head over to the Hive Prison in the Founts and drop down into the pit.
Near the end of the atrium, you should consider dealing with the enemies from a safe distance. In order to accomplish this, you need to be equipped with long-ranged weapons.
Once you head inside The Founts, use the Ghost to hack a couple of runes in order to open up a couple of doors leading into the next area.
It’s highly recommended that 2 players from the fire-team deal with enemies in the area and others do the required scanning.
The players playing as Hunters should deal with the Wizards and deactivate the towers, unseal the doors, and deal with Shriekers on the other side.
Defeating the Taken Enemies
Once you’re on the other side, you need to stick together as a team and deal with the enemies on the other side.
The idea is to stick to the very center of the area and let the enemies like Urlot the Thrasher come to you instead of roaming around the area.
Once all the Taken enemies are taken care of, you’ll be required to deal with an Ogre and some more Acolyte enemies.
Once this is done, you’ll be required to deal with enemies in the Hanging Crypts. The best strategy to use here is to stay at a safe distance and snipe enemies from a distance.
With Shrikers out of the way, you need to focus on Centurions as a team and prepare for the Darkblade boss battle.
