If you are a fan of basketball games you’ll know that NBA Live 16 is coming September 29. To help you survive until then, a demo has been released for download today .
Coming to Xbox One and Playstation 4, the demo will feature the LIVE Pro-Am mode, competitive LIVE Run, and cooperative Summer Circuit. For people wanting an offline experience they can also choose from six NBA teams and take part in exhibition games. LIVE tutorials will also be available for those who want to learn the nuances of the game.
As well as the release of the demo, players will also be able to download the official NBA Live 16 Companion App. Available on Android and iOS the app will allow fans to scan their own faces and upload them into the game to customise their character. I’m sure the more experimental gamers will come up with some interesting ideas for things to scan as “faces” for the players.
With the upcoming release of NBA Live 16, it will be interesting to see how it competes with NBA 2K16. With Spike Lee’s connection to 2K Sports’s basketball game it does feel like that version has more to offer than EA Sport’s latest iteration of their franchise.
As with other sports games though, when they go to battle for the hearts of the fans, this will be decided by the fans themselves and which game they prefer. NBA 2K16 can have all the big names connected to it, but in the end if NBA Live 16 provides a better gaming experience then it still could gain the edge when it comes to gamer’s choice.
Which basketball game are you looking forward to the most, NBA Live 16 or NBA 2K16? Let us know your thoughts below.
