Insomniac Has No Plans for Resistance Remaster, But Will Support Whoever Works On it

Resistance remaster won't be developed by Insomniac, but the studio will support whoever plans to work on it.

Resistance began with Fall of Man on PlayStation 3 and emerged as one of the most notable franchises to come out of last-gen. So far, three installments have been released on PlayStation 3, all were developed by Insomniac Games.

The IP, however, is owned by Sony which means any future work on the series can be handed over to a different studio. As you know, this generation of consoles has seen a number of remastered games including God of War, Tomb Raider, Gears of War etc.

Some fans of Resistance think that the series should be remastered for PlayStation 4. But, unfortunately, if that happens Insomniac won’t be the one working on it.

The studio has said that they don’t do remasters, however, if someone else is handed over the job, they will fully support the project.

While I am a huge fan of the series, our readers will know that I am not a supporter of remastered games. Sony should bring back Resistance with a bang, a new installment, a brand new studio with fresh ideas for the series, that’s what I’ll spend my money on.
