A number of fans who bought Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain on day one have been complaining about certain server connectivity issues that they have been facing. Now, Konami has acknowledged them on Twitter and citing heavy loads as the reason, disabled some of the in-game features.
“We are currently experiencing server connection issues,” they said and added that some “temporary measures have been taken to remedy the problem” for instance:
Display of info regarding Win/Loss, Points, Supporting/Supporters, and Heroism have been disabled in the FOB MISSION list. Number of missions listed in the online COMBAT DEPLOYMENT menu has been decreased.
So in case you don’t see those features when playing Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain, don’t panic as the removal is temporary and will be restored as soon as the developers atre done with patching the server issues.
Konami has also apologized for the issues that have been caused by server loads saying “we deeply apologize for the inconvenience and are working hard with all parties to bring these features back as soon as possible.”
