“You wanted a Star Wars Battlefront Beta? As you wish,” that is how Electronic Arts is giving you the most welcoming news of today! Yes, beta for the game has been confirmed on all three platforms i.e. PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC!
Those of you who get it will be able to test and enjoy the game in the first half of October as Electronic Arts is promising an early October launch for the beta.
That being said, one of the things that the Star Wars Battlefront Beta is going to let you try out ” a 40-player multiplayer battle featuring Rebels and the Empire” in the form of Walker Assault on Hoth.
Other than that, you get to play the Survival Mission on Tatooine; this is the mission where “you and a Rebel friend must fight back waves of Imperial forces.”
If that didn’t excite you enough, digest this: the Walker Assault on Hoth is also going to let you play as Luke Skywalker and – wait for it – Darth Vader! I for one didn’t expect the developers to let those two out before the game released.
The developers are also including the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience to the beta. Here’s all you need to know about it:
[It] features the strategic card game Base Command, and lets you earn in-game Credits that unlock Star Cards, weapons, and more in Star Wars Battlefront. In addition to Base Command, the Companion also lets Rebels and Imperials alike check game stats and progression, customize load-outs and appearance, connect with friends, and get notified when they’re playing Star Wars Battlefront – as well as gather intel on their stats and progression so you can see how you match up!
Last but not the least, a brand new mode called Drop Zone is also going to be introduced in the Star Wars Battlefront Beta although not much is known about it so far.
